1. What made you want to get into acting?

I saw my first play "Miracle on 34th Street" when I was four years old at one of the top theaters in Ft. Worth, where I'm from. I sat in the first row and told my mom that’s what I wanted to do. Four years later, I was cast as the lead girl, Susan Walker in "Miracle on 34th Street" at the same theater. I performed to over 30,000 people in 22 performances.

2. Who were your idols growing up?

The people I’ve always looked up to are Meryl Streep, Patricia Clarkson, Cate Blanchett and Benicio del Toro. They're all strong actors who I really respect. At 11, I was cast as the lead in a play in Ft. Worth. The role was a Polish girl, and I told the theater manager that I wouldn't take on the role unless I could do a Polish accent. Meryl Streep became my idol. I watched her over and over again in "Sophie’s Choice," perfecting my Polish accent.

3. What was it like working on Kush?

I loved working on this film, because it’s loosely based on the true story of Jesse James Hollywood, and it really shows the consequences of using and selling drugs. I played Kat, a sexy high schooler, who seduced the boy who was held against his will. I don't want to reveal more or I'll spoil it for you. It's an awesome cast! Mike Erwin stars, who was in the TV series, "Everwood."

4. What was it like working on Sublime?

Such an incredible experience! First of all, Erik Jendresen who wrote HBO's "Band of Brothers" wrote an amazing script. It’s a thriller that is so unique and frightening. Nothing like this has been made. Tony Krantz who produced "Mulholland Dr" and TV series, "24" directed, and Tom Cavanagh from the TV series, "Ed" stars. His character is admitted to Mt. Abaddon Hospital for a routine procedure, but he discovers that his condition is much more serious and complicated than originally expected; and as his own fears begin to manifest around him, he learns that Mt. Abaddon is not a place where people come to get better... it is a place where people come to die. I played Ravyn, a Gothic smart ass that Tom Cavanagh's daughter is dating. There's a good lesbian make out scene.

5. If you could work with anybody, who would it be?

Ah, there are so many amazing people in this industry that I'd love to work with, but to name some...Patricia Clarkson, Meryl Streep, or Steven Soderbergh.

6. What have been some of your favorite roles to play?

Oh, I’ve loved every role I've played, but I love playing Gothic roles. I was up for a feature film while living in Dallas, and that's when I first picked up the Gothic look. It's not my day-to-day look, but when I dress Gothic, the way people react to me is crazy to see. People are scared—they either avoid eye contact or try to be overly nice. I actually love to portray a lot of different roles. I've played Gothic chicks to a sorority sister to a teenage prostitute. I really love the versatility that every role brings.

7. What are some of your favorite movies?

Ooo…I have soo many from "American Beauty" to "The Usual Suspects" to "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" to "Trainspotting" to "Inventing the Abbots" to "Requiem for a Dream" to "Being Julia". I have a very eclectic taste.

8. What movies have you seen lately you have really enjoyed?

I just watched Elizabeth Taylor's film "Butterfield 8" for which she won her first Oscar. Great film, and Elizabeth Taylor is just wonderful. I also just saw two AMAZING indie films: "Half Nelson" and "Little Miss Sunshine." Both are just such beautiful films with great casts.

9. Have you had any bad experiences yet?

Haha. On my last film, "Together Again for the First Time," we shot in Utah for a month. The month became known as "Christmas in July." We’re all in layers of clothing, depicting Christmas, trying to be freezing cold while we’re sweating in 100-degree weather. It was quite comical, actually. There were some days where we had ice packs on our backs under our layers of Christmas wear.

10. What kinda role would you most like to play?

I really love dramatic, challenging roles. I'm open to different types of roles. As long as there is a great script to back it, and I'm passionate about it, I'm in.

11. What are your thoughts on studios remaking movies?

Well, since I was in two sequels, Miss Congeniality 2 and Single White Female 2, which was basically a remake of the original, I can't say it's a bad thing. Haha. You just never know...sometimes a remake can be absolutely great.

12. What is you favorite genre of movies?

I’m into romantic comedies, dramas, indies, and period films.

13. Who have you enjoyed working with the most?

Seriously, I really have enjoyed working with everyone. I just worked with David Ogden Stiers from "M*A*S*H"...he played my dad in "Together Again for the First Time," and I just adore him. He is such an amazing guy...so sweet and so, soooo funny! He's a master of improv.

14. Would you like to do TV work or film work more?

I mostly work in film. I love it. I want to do film after film after film. I wouldn't mind a dramatic role in a TV series, too.

15. What's your view on reality TV? Good or bad?

Well, overall, I think it's bad because it takes work from actors, but I am guilty: I love Project Runway and America's Next Top Model. I can't help it. Haha.

16. What have you got lined up next?

I begin filming a teen romantic comedy called "Just One Look..." in January in New Orleans. I play Clementine, the lead girl…the "perfect girl." Drew Seeley from "High School Musical" plays my boyfriend in the film. Also starring is Randy Wayne. It's gonna be really fun!

17. What's in your stereo at the moment?

Imogen Heap! She is so talented! It's her album "Speak for Yourself."

18. What are you some of your favorite music artists/bands?

Like my favorite films, I have an eclectic taste. My favorite band is Incubus, but I listen to the bands Postal Service, Coldplay, Death Cab for Cutie, Snow Patrol, and Mutemath. I also enjoy Billie Holiday, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Lamontagne, Jason Mraz. I've been digging a lot of female artists right now, too, such as: Sia, Corinne Bailey Rae, KT Tunstall, Imogen Heap, and Regina Spektor.

19. What do you enjoy doing when not acting?

I hang out with friends, read, go to the beach, dine, travel, watch films, and visit art museums. I also love horseback riding, gun range shooting, and bowling!

20. What was it like working with Larisa Oleynik and Joseph Lawrence?

Oh, man, working on "Together Again for the First Time" with them was so awesome! Larisa and Joey are just great and soo funny! Larisa loved crossword puzzles...so, the cast and I would always join in, and Joey! Joey would always sing for us. He has such a beautiful voice. I had a blast working with them!
